PLAY WITH FIRE CANDLE

ThoughtMatter marks the close of each year with a holiday gift for friends, collaborators and clients. In 2022, the team partnered with candle artisans Laura and Nathalie Viruly at Via Wax to create a unique lettering piece that brought warmth and illumination as the weather turns cold and the days shorten. When the concept was solidified and the team was ready to make the mold, I was tapped to provide my lettering craft and expertise. I was given the unique parameters of creating a lettering structure that was legible as a sculptural object but sturdy enough to physically burn to the ground.

This project was completed as a member of the ThoughtMatter design team.
